FinnegansWake CustomTables offer an unconventional take on home furnishings; combining art, sculpture, and function. I am constantly scouring stores and estate sales for unusual tables, and once the right piece is found, the process begins. To start, I trowel on thin layers of concrete, tinted with mineral pigments, to replicate the deep and varying colors of the sea. Natural rocks are affixed and gently cresting waves are sculpted, along with the ensuing wake; that visible track of turbulence. Trees are anchored and sculpted... A protective finish may be added, depending on how the table is to be used.
